VA - Street Justice! Early Rap 1979-1981

The first of two mixtapes with some groovy early rap. This one includes cuts from 1979-1981. Many of the choices here are 12inch versions. And, this is not a try to do some serious overview of the scene - It's just a bunch of favorites! Sure I like Grandmaster Flash and most releases from Sugar Hill, but I have heard them too much already I guess. Some of the tunes on those mixes of course has a touch of the late disco era, some with the funk and electronica for sure, some just freestyle. If you want, you can do some break dance too!

01. Lonnie Love - Young Ladies (1980)
02. Family - Family Rap (1979)
03. Funky 4+1 - Thats The Joint (1980)
04. The Evasions - Wikka Wrap (1981)
05. Disco Four - Do It Do It (1981)
06. Eddie Cheba - Lookin Good (Shake Your Body) (1979)
07. The Outlaw Four - Million Dollar Legs (1980)
08. The Sequence - Funk You Up (1979)
09. Bumblebee Unlimited - Bumble Bee Rap (1980)
10. Dr. Jeckyll & Mr. Hyde - Genius Rap (1981)
11. Kool Kyle The Starchild & The Disco Dolls - Do You Like That Funky Beat (1980)
12. Treacherous Three - Feel The Heartbeat (1981)
