By Request: Mari Trini "Amores" 1970

I know very little about the spanish singer and actress Mari Trini, except she was huge in Spain. What I read Amores was her debut LP from 1970 (the only album with her I own and have heard). In parts this album reminds me of Claudine Lognet and Francoise Hardys early seventies recordings. The music are sometimes very dramatic and theatralical. This was a request by Mike - hope you dig it.

Enjoy!

  1. Just listened to this post - what a GREAT LP. My copy was pretty beat up - purchased it in Pamplona and carried it home around 1972...
Sadly, many of Mari's LPs have not been reissued. Most of mine were lost in a move, and I've been looking for these:
    Ventanas (1973)
    Quien (1974)
    Mari Trini (Francés) (1975)
    Transparencias (1975)
    Como el rocío (1976)
    El tiempo y yo (1977)
    Solo para ti (1978)
    A mi aire (1979)
    Oraciones de amor (1981)
Una estrella en mi jardín (1982)
    Diario de una mujer (1984)
    Mari Trini (1984)
    En vivo (1985)

    Thanks again,
    Mike

  7. Hi. A friend asked me to copy the record onto a CD. I was able to record all the songs except one because it was scratched/skipped more than 5 times. I had never heard her before, but I fell in love with the smoothness of her voice and the music. Thank you for info.
