Byron Lee And The Dragonaires "Disco Reggae" 1975

This is an outstanding set of groovy jamaican music. Everybody knows the maestro Byron Lee, and Disco Reggae was released in 1975, full of uptempo roots reggae with some sort of "disco" touch. They also do a marvelous version of Bob Marley No Woman No Cry (groovier than the orginal). Do the reggae!

Enjoy!

  1. Byron Lee did his best work during the peak years of Ska & Calypso. His big band, a well rehearsed and tight aggregation, produced many solid LP's, most of it sadly OOP.

    1. I totally agree with you on Byron Lee, his heydays were in the early to mid sixties. But I think the above records is kinda charming:-)
