Eddie Kirkland ‎"It's The Blues Man!" 1962

Eddie Kirkland was born in Jamaica 1923 but moved to America in the fifties, where he become working with stars like Otis Redding, John Lee Hooker, King Curtis, Muddy Waters and many others. This is his debut LP from 1962, King Curts band are backing him, and it's a damned groovy rough electric blues album with a touch of bonewreckin' "rock" in numbers such Man Of Stone and Train Done Gone. Truly one of the best albums ever cut.

Enjoy!

  1. I like this record for a long time and still have an old edition but never knows it was his first one from 1962. Great post. Fred
