Ray Bryant "Up Above The Rock" 1968

This groovy gem by pianist Ray Bryant sounds like a more funky Vince Guaraldi. Up Above The Rock from 1968 is one of those marvelous soul-jazz LP's the Cadet label released in the late sixties. Groovy!

Enjoy!

  1. Ray is incomparable, from his groovy Cadet sides to his side work with Miles, Sonny Rollins, Benny Golson, Lee Morgan, Max Roach etc etc to his late solo piano sides an under appreciated Giant ! Thanks! -Crispy
