Uwandile ‎"The Tie Breaker" 1979

Unwandile were a group of South African exiles in Nigeria, they released the this album in 1979. Most of the songs are sung in english, and the music is groovy south african pop with elements of funk, soul and even reggae. The album was re-released in Netherlands in 1983, the with a totaly new cover, and also under the name Piliso and with the titel Thumela - strange.  When I hear this album I often come thinking of Sting/Police early sunny afro-pop-reggae, but this is far more groovy.
