VA - City Pop: Groovy Sounds From Japan 1976-1983

Well, this is a mixtape I made with City Pop, the genre is actually a mish mash of the american soft rock/yacht rock, soul/disco, jazz-funk,  acoustic, fusion, west coast, etc, the thing with city pop is that it's performed/recorded by japanese peopple in Japan, in their own way. Everybody knows the japanese folks are the best copy cats of all time, and threre is no secret that they are very good instrumentalists, song writers and musicians as well. The scene is still active and very huge in Japan, but since the mid to late 80s the focus is just on pop (sadly), the groove isn't in focus anymore, to be honest. I find the genre from the 70s to the mid 80s very enjoable and groovy. Hope some of you feel the same way. Groovy!
