Oku Onuora was born in Kingston, Jamaica in 1952, he is known as the "father of jamaican dub poetry". Onuora started writing poetry in the early 70s, and Pressure Drop from 1984 is his first album. Musically its deep roots reggae, with elements of dub, and Onurous voice is very strong and deep. This is one of the jamaican 80s best records. Please read more about this fascinating man here.
