Sam Taylor Jr. was true legend in soul/r&b music in the 60s and 70s. Taylor was guitarplayer and bandleader to the Isley Brothers, Otis Redding, Sam & Dave and Big Joe Turner (to name a few) for many years, and he also was a a big songwriter for many of the biggest stars in the 70s. Tunnels Of My Mind was his first own album, released in 1969, musically it's late 60s r&b/soul with a groovy touch of rock and blues - but the main sound is soul. He do great versions of Dark End Of The Street and I Heard It Through The Grapevine. Groovy!
